Start From Scratch or Get a Franchise?

If you’re thinking of opening a restaurant, you may have debated with yourself on whether to get a franchise or start one from scratch. There is stability and reliability in buying a well known franchise. It is also an advantage for first timers who do not have any experience in the restaurant business because the franchisee usually gets training from the franchisor. Aside from training they also provide a lot of support to the franchisee along the way. Starting your very own restaurant though, gives you a lot of freedom to decide on how to run your restaurant, what to serve, how it will look, etc. A franchisee has to abide by the rules of the franchisor. There are some pros and cons to getting either one. Study them first before starting a restaurant.
