High Wind Storm Keeps Emergency Dispatch Busy

4:03 am Real Estate

The Idaho Statesman reports that the “normal” Friday night will generate 139 “911″ calls into the Ada County dispatch.  Compare that to the high wind gust storm that rolled in last Saturday which generated 773 calls from 9:00pm to 3:00am Sunday morning.

In addition to the wind storm that injured 70 at the Western Idaho Fair, as well as the usual falling trees, etc., there were reports of a double shooting, a knife fight, several car accidents, and a bizarre case of an impaired woman getting in and out of her car with her 2 year old daughter while stealing pedestrians cell phones.

As it happens, there was a full moon that night!
