City lights – color changing goodness
December 30, 2009 4:27 am TechnologyEver been downtown and driven or walked by the huge looming buildings at night? Their facades are lit with hundreds of watts worth of light. Many of these are still using halogen or high pressure sodium flood lights just for the purpose of showing some dimension and depth. There’s no intention to save money. However many of the building you’ll see are moving over to led floodlight bulbs. These allow the owners to draw even more attention to their building by giving them the ability to change the colors of the light often generating up to 16 million colors and giving passers-by a lightshow in the process! I love LEDs!
