Air Asia X now offers Air Asia flights from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Seoul, South Korea. The long haul wing of the Asia budget carrier offers daily flights to the South Korean capital. CEO Tony Fernandes clearly views the country as a potential hotspot for future flights with significant marketing investment thrown into the route. This leaves open the possibility of future flights to other South Korean cities and perhaps even Japan. Currently, Japan Airlines serves the KL to Tokyo Route, however prices are at a premium. A low cost option would open up the doorway to increased tourism and business travel between the two Asian economies.
